Get a Blackberry 7100, they're more phone like. Though you do loose the keyboard, so its usefullness is down to whether you use it to send or just recieve email.

yeah i looked at those but didnt not like having a keyboard as i need it to send stuff when on tour n'that.

I am due an upgrade on my contract phone with vodafone. I do not need anything fancy as I only use calls texts, occasional radio but not important and the same with camera. What I do need, due to my hearing, is one with a loud ringtone and loud reception. Any suggestions?

Just today I was looking at upgrading and then I stumbled across this thread. I must say I thought NSCers had shite phones, then I saw the date of the posts :dunce:

So what can people recommend? I quite fancy having wifi access.

Has anybody still got one of the original car/mobile phones that were like carrying a car battery around with a normal phone set on top or the the up market Motorola ones about the size of a house brick?

I got a Blackberry 8800 recently. not as bulky as some of the earlier models but still OK for typing emails even with my big clumsy fingers

Work have just given me an 8800 and I love it. You do feel a bit of a knob using it as a phone because of it's size, but it really is the dogs bollox.
