West west west Sussex
Ross Johnson.

Kept him in the cupboard under the stairs.
Would take him out for walks and stuff.

Eventually got bored.
Forgot to feed him.
Luzzed him into a layby some 6 months later.

You know how it is.

I got a seat back from the west upper with my door number on it , took 5 attempts to get one that didnt break, as i had forgotten my toolkit

I got one too but it was riddled with woodworm, so I cleaned and treated it. Unfortunately my ex threw it away.
My son somehow managed to get a complete east terrace turnstile gate home and it lived in the eaves of the garage.
The statutory piece of turf, carefully nurtured grew well and became incorporated into the rest of the grass in the garden.

Here’s a pic I found on tinternet

In a pile of football shirts
2 seats from the south stand and a bit of turf which assimilated into the lawn long ago.

The guy carrying the gate looks like a young Lewis Dunk!

Lawn that was put in my parents garden. They have since moved on but it was growing nicely when they left many years ago. A piece of net and 2 plastic seats which I still have in loft somewhere I believe

My mum told me not to take anything, so I didn’t. When she watched the news and’s saw the place being ransacked she felt bad, she wrote to the club and asked if there was anything they could do. They arranged for a time that myself and my Uncle John (a builder) could go to the Goldstone and have at it. As we had UJ’s tools we got loads of good stuff, the best was a fully working seat from the West Stand including the metal frame, still got that in my mum’s basement, had part of the bench from the manager’s dugout too but no idea what happened to it. Also found players wage slips in the skip.

I have an 9" cigar, which one of the directors gave me, when we wandered into the boardroom on an impromptu tour during half time of a reserve game. I was about 13 at the time!

A few years ago someone in The Exchange tried to sell me a brick for £20.
