So we finish 7th last season, not perfect by any means but a good base to build on, so where did it aall go wrong ?

1 - for reasons unknown Wilkins is replaced by Adams in a shock move.
People may be unhappy with the way it's done but I think the majority of
Albion fans are happy with Adams return, maybe like me they think chances of promotion or a
top 6 finish are realistic targets.

2 - Adams re signs Hart and Mayo, a step back in many peoples minds.
Other signings, Mcloud, Hawkins, virgo, Livermore Have failed to improve
the squad thru lack of fitness and quality.

3 - Booker is brought back in by Adams from football obscurity, the place is
starting to feel like an old boys club.

4 - long term injurys to key players such as Forster and Murray, Davies
is brought in but has largley failed to deliver, some key misses have easily
cost us a few wins.

5 - Such an unsettled squad, 40 starters in one season, a record even 4
clubs like Chelsea ! Way way to many loan players, How much can they
really care ? absolutley no consistency in the sqaud, who's the side been
moulded around, this whole scenario raises so many core problems.

6 - poor coaching, little to no tactics, poor game plan, backwards slow
pathetic football, lack of creativity and ability to find space, This was
best demonstrated against the 9 men of walsal, they may well have been
playing with 15 !

7 - Adams should have been sacked at Christmas, end of.

8 - Board fucks up in finding replacement, to long and 3rd choice, great start
!!! first game against relegation rivals, lose 2-1.

9 - more injurys bans and loans, lose and draw key relegation games, the
damage is already done, the rot long since set in, in these situations
the writting is on the wall.

For one I KNEW we would be in trouble from the first game aagainst Leyton Orient at home, we looked so poor it was clear to see a big improvement was needed, I thought to myself it's early days, but no the improvement never came week in week out the same shit on the pitch and Adams blowing the most unbeliveable smoke up our arse through the media, Need a cuddle ???
What a joke and a sign he had lost it.

Did the JPT save him for longer ?? god only knows, we scraped thru some of those games against div 4 sides as it was.

UTTER UTTER shambles, if people can say it's the worst season they have seen in 30 years, f*** it must be bad with some of the tripe that's gone on her in te past.

Never would I have beived my pateibec and resolve as a Brighton supporter would have been so tested, I feel mugged right off, bitterly disapointed and let down,

Next season I would only keep, Kuipers, whing Elphick and forster, the rest of you f*** off, including white and Booker.

The board as a whole not just dick Knight have questions to answer as we have aabsolutley manaaged ourselves into this position.

all the work of the last 10 years is going down the drain, I have always mantained we needed if nothing else to mantain league 1 status

At such an inportant time with Falmer coming you will let us drop into uncertain times, look forward to gates of 4000, you best drop the season ticket prices to about £300 if you even want to reach that number.

I have enjoyed about 1 out of 21 home games this season, my weeknds have been ruined, justifying leaving the family on a saturday to see this turd is getting harder to justify, there has not been an ounce of fun in it, so whats the point ? at what point does loyalty become blind ?

will I be back ? probably because it's ingrained in me, it feels more like an illness at the moment rather than a pleasure, the magical days as a teenager walking thru the gates of the Goldstone seam a distant memory to this nightmare, I can't wait to leave the soulless withdean behind forever.

Frankly if the football aint half good at withdean your f***ed cos theres bugger all else to enjoy about the matchday experience.

I gotta go this is no good for my health, anyone who's been to away games and traveled hundereds of miles aand spent a fortune deserves a meadal on the evidence of home games and reports on here.

Well done people, we are the club, we are Brighton and Hove Albion, forgive my moaning I would'nt say it if I did not care :bigwave:

10.when brighton and hove albion became community club and not primarily a football team.it's about 11 men kicking a football not adult literacy, awards and cheques presented at half time on the pitch.

disagree, we have been doing that for several seasons, not just this one. didn't seem to affect our performances then.

What is ironic is that the club have seen fit to throw a load of money at trying to back their decision to bring back Adams. Shame they didn't see fit to back the two men who could have actually done something useful with the money, McGhee and Wilkins both of whom did excellent jobs in very very trying conditions. Bit of major ricket by the board there.

In London village.
Can't disagree with too much of that, Liam.

All started at Xmas 2007, IMO, and has been one wrong call after another since then. We need a big clear out and to start again if Falmer is going to have any sort of crowd in it.

good post. Total shambles. Absolute crap has been served up. We deserve a medal for sitting through the shite we've been seved up.

DK has been very very lucky that the fans haven't really turned.

If the season tickets are not drastically cheaper then what will crowds be next year ? I reckon 3,500 .

f***ing joke season

+ any players reading this - disgrace !!!

You enjoy more family time as football at this club of recent years has been dire and depressing to say the least.:(

The loanees have been shit this season, and there have been far to many coming and going to get a settled team.
40 players used ? Thats not all down to bad luck with injuries is it ?
Indeciveness under Adams has cost us dearly.

It's been going wrong since 2005, a little investment by Dick Tight in the squad and we would still be in the championship.
What pisses me off is the money that has been spunked this season on crap like Savage yet we wouldn't spend a dime trying to stay in the Championship.

it amazes me the amount of money we must have spent on wages this season. If you think 40 players and then say there earning 1800 plus a week its a lot of money especially for our club.

Totally agree. I was at MK yesterday and we are going down. The problem is "does dk and the board really appreciate the problem, if we dont have a cull of staff and players, next season could be as bad"
All of the loanees were brought in by Adams and White - "I rest my case your honour"
Proud to be Albion yesterday, massive support.

Had we been in the top 6 all season gates would have been higher and thus more money but having brought in Adams and backed him financially they deserted him at the wrong time. He should either have gone at the end of December or stayed to the end. Nobody could have produced worse results for the last 8 games than we have had. Once the season got under way the biggest loss we had was losing Murray for so long, he has missed 20+ games and had he played would probably have scored 10 or so goals which may have given us sufficient points to be up in midtable. The annoying things is when othet clubs lose a player they bring in one nearly as good especially when it is a striker but what do we do bring in rubbish. Even Orient brought in Scott McGleish who has scored for them and we have brought in Owuso and Davies. Owuso won every ball in the air in his first game and hasnt won one since Davies scored but hasnt looked likely to add to it since why; is it down to our coaching?

Another minus point was taking 3 weeks to employ another manager. Provisions and enquiries about a replacement should have been made prior to the meeting at Hickstead Little Chef after the Luton debacle. Prehaps DK/the board put too much emphasis on the JPT and going to Wembley rather than keeping us in this division.
