Bearing in mind we've been told that he has another game before a decision is made, what would you like to happen?

I think he is a good solid manager, able to cope with the media, able to relate to the players and motivate them. In time, he could be excellent, lets just hope he is given time.

I like him to win. I'd like him to be given the opportunity to pick his first team from a complete set of fit and available players. With proper fullbacks available.

I'd like to see this win used to put in a shift, and surpise people by getting at least 6 points in november (and december first). I'd like the confidence of such success against the top teams, and a consistent first team, to lead to us pushing on so by january, we're viable play off contenders. January's play off contenders can also push on to be automatic promotion contenders. Not sure that'll happen though.

I think it'll be hard to find people who don't want that. They may think it unlikely, and that for the good of the club he needs to go, but I think most people would be happy with that.

I voted option 1 but I have serious reservations about his ability to lead us long term. I hope he proves me wrong as I like him.

I like Russell, and i hope those waste of space players actually step up to the mark and put in a good performance for the first time in months that saves his job, and we can go on from there.
But it won't happen.
We'll draw 1-1 on Saturday, then lose our next 4.
So.. idk.

Judging by the posts and many polls the Slade Outers are the minority and not the majority they seem to think they are.

i think he is on the whole a potentially good manager who is articulate, commited and a realist, on the negative i think he should be more positive at home in terms of formation and tactics and that he is blind to the ineptitude of our usual centre back pairing.

I'll admit i wanted Slade out on Saturday, and maybe a few times before that, but i've had a think about it and with all Slade took us through last season, we have to stick behind him for at least a few weeks. We know he is a good manager, we just need to hope the players can bring it together.

It's just a shame we've got the 4 best teams in the league after Hartlepool...

I'm a Slade outer and you're banding us all in the same category...In fact, I've voted option 1 as, despite believing that he should be sacked for the terrible run we're having, anyone who wants the Albion to lose and for a manager to fail is a wanker of the highest order.

If we went on a run over the next couple of months and got good results which led to a transformation of the team's fortunes, then I would gladly be happy to stick with Slade

I wouldn't say I want us to lose, even under the dismal leadership of Adams I couldn't bring myself to want that, but if we could get someone like Steve Coppell in as manager I'd say yes to that in a heartbeat. I think Slade is a fairly ordinary manager.

Long term plans...
They work! Russia was turned in to a super power in the space of 14 years.

Ok. 14 years is unrealistic. But judging a man on 14 games... Slade IN!

Obviously I want him to be successful with us for a long time, like I do whoever our manager is.

1. I want us to win and get 3 points
2. I want him to be a success because that will make us a success.

Whether or not by achieving no 1 he will be able to go on and achieve no 2 I am not sure about.
