This . . . Without the imagination we're dull as . . . . a Southern water discharge!
I had a collection of banana stickers 1993-5, they're long lost . . .so I googled it, and found an American collection that blew me clean out of the water!
I also had an utterly useless collection of tape middles (long gone too) it was a joke/passing comment from a mate . . . Every time an old cassette died, I ripped it apart and kept the centres. There was surprising variation from manufacturers.

Fender US Jazz Bass - 1983, Black w/white scratch plate.
Factory fitted Bad Ass Bridge II and detuner which both help to make it a little rarer/more valuable. My Dad bought it in New York in the 90s and handed it down to me.
It’s the only bass I’ve ever really gotten on with, played what must be close to over 100 live shows with it now - no other bass has ever felt quite right.

I have long hankered for a fender jazz after playing one in Tiger music in my teens. My Jack Cassidy was my last purchase which just trumped the jazz in the shop.
Have you had yours valued? Those classics are worth a bit I think.
Struggled to get it accurately valued as it’s a bit of an unusual one, but most quotations have been around £3-4,000.
My dad bought it for about £2,000 back in the day.
I knew someone would be picky on that point. No, I don’t see them as possessions but I genuinely can’t think of any material thing I value more than them.

I'd be bricking it.
A rough wooden chess set, handmade by a German POW. He gave it to my kindly Uncle Reg after arriving in Canada, following the one week crossing in a merchant navy ship. Reg played chess with him every evening to pass the time, plus gave him a daily extra apple from the stores. The German was taken by his kindness and gifted his only possession.

A photo of my daughter that was taken about about 22 years ago. she's 27 now. We'll never get those days back. It captures a time of hope, laughter and innocence. Materialistically, I suppose it's my stunning Z3, which is more like an ornament that is kept in my garage, or some beautiful original circus and zoo posters from the 60's. The artwork is completely and utterly beyond belief. The walls of my flat are covered in them. In reality, some of them should be in the V&A.

Nice, After 35 years I bought my first proper Fender a couple of years ago, a 2004 MIJ Jaguar. My go to gig bass for most of those years has been a Rickenbacker, which is starting to wear out! The Jag, like a Jazz, is a good tool. I think I was put off by playing a P bass when I was a kid, they just feel clunky to me. I have tried a few others over the years on occasion, but they never felt right.
