Echo shows/dots…..’dotted’ through the house ….with a decent pair of ear plugs for late night use.

Still have some vinyl tucked under the bed….an my old deck, a Rega Planar 2 with a glass platter..havnt plugged it in for years, but I have no intention of disposing of it
Plug it in. You know you want to

I have two main setups, then I have a few others dotted around in other rooms.

The two main setups one is a Rega Planner 8, Rega MC pre amp, Rega Elicit Amp, and B&W 705 S3
the other Technics SL1200GR, Rega IO amp, and B&W 607 S3

I also have a Audio Technica LP60BT, AT-LP120X, Audio Technica Sound Burger, Project essential 2 and a NAD 5120

Also my daughter has an Audio Technica LP3
Nice choices.
I'm Linn/B&W myself

I simply have a WiFi connected Sonos system, three different styles of speakers, 8 in all including a TV sound bar,.. in all rooms other than the bathroom, cloakroom and utility room... I use, Spotify and Amazon mainly.
Sonos for me too. Mainly Spotify and Apple plus lots of 6 Music.

It’s definitely changed over the years. When still living at home it was “tapes” - cassettes basically on a ghetto blaster. Increasingly moved to vinyl as got into dance music. Still regret losing a lot of what would now be vintage vinyl when we moved abroad,

From there it was on to CDs, then iPod to where I am now. Still have tons of CDs (including a couple of ones NSCers made for me when we used to do Secret Santa style playlist swaps over CD) but prefer making my own playlists now.

As an old git, I find it sad that years ago music systems became better & better. In the last 20 years or so, they've mostly just become more & more convenient

Mainly I listen to music at home through my computer connected to a very good set of earphones.

But I also own a lot of vinyl and will put that on when I'm in the mood as it's more of an experience, something I wrote about in my first year at Uni.

We also have various Google Home devices throughout the house, so I'll put music on those when I'm cooking in the kitchen for example.

Fair to say, and I'm probably in a minority with this, music does not play much of a part in my life.

Most often it's the radio in the car. But could be talk radio [R4] rather than music anyway, so not listening to music.
Second most often, the TV on the kitchen wall will be playing "Smooth" or "Radio Shropshire" [no option for TV in the poll]
Very occasionally [not since Christmas] the HiFi will embrace a CD and play for our guests - Mrs SS quite likes Micky Bubble [probably his music too]
Mrs SS also listens to "Christian Radio" on the DAB alarm-clock radio when going off to sleep.

For me. music is all a bit meh!

Sorry. It's a nice deck, shame not to use it (although understandable, obvs)
Oh i agree with both sentiments …remember buying it yonks ago …shop in Portland Rd Portslade …(one shop business)….went there Saturday after Saturday for about two months before buying my setup….which included the aforementioned and a pair of Kef Concordes which were a ridiculous size for my bedroom 🤦‍♂️
