First memory was seeing Robert codner scoring a great header after Ian chapman had knocked in a good ball. Remember jumping up and down in the terrace (age13) and thinking this it for me
My first Brighton memory is thinking my Dad was some sort of deity after he got the entire Goldstone ground to slow-clap the ref who was taking his sweet time sorting out a decision. I was amazed.
went to a game in about 1970/71 with my uncle V shrewsbury, think it was a draw 1-1 , sat in those old bench seats at the back of old south stand at Goldstone eating 'everton mints' Iwas about 9 years old.........followed this up with games V Rotherham and Bolton , can't really remember much about the actual football until later in about 75/76 then it all got more interesting with the likes of Fred Binney , Gerry Fell , Tony Towner, Sully, etc. brilliant at home and fairly poor away I remember.
Then we started having regular big games V Palace .....I was there when sammy morgan scored the two goals for 2-0 at the Goldstone in front of 33000.............great days.
