Just wondering; and if you want an alternative thread to Albiob stuff. I spent a night in Birmingham on Sunday, a city I have stayed in a number of times for many reasons over the years. Had some decent beer at Brewdog then rocked up to the amazing Al Frash on The Ladypool Road for a fantastic seriously good lamb vindaloo*. It's an underated city in my opinion and I quite like it.

* - it does not take a lot to make me happy.

Having lived in Edinburgh for upwards of 13 years now, I'd have to say it's pretty cool. Grew up in Newcastle and love going back there. Agree with the earlier poster about York (especially with a beer by the river on a sunny day). And I like lots of things about Glasgow, though the ever-present risk of being stabbed by a nutter is a bit of a downside.

The arse end of Hangleton
Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Snap - I've had some VERY good times in the Big Market area !

I also like Bristol - reminds of Brighton in atmosphere.

Stirling in Scotland is also very nice.
