Its silly money. But Liverpool have just had a windfall on Torres, plus you can factor in that Torres was probably on a salary at least double what Carroll will be on. If Torres was on 150k a week thats 7.2m a year over the remaining 3/4 years he had on his contract. Carroll will be on good money, but nothing like that kind of cash.
