I once lost £300 I had withdrawn from a cashpoint 15 minutes earlier.

Always hoped it went to a deserving cause, but the area I dropped it was pretty dodgy so it probably went to a crack head.

Working up in a dodgy East London suburb mid 90's i found what turned out to be 2 Kilo's of Cocaine.Reported to The Police and they collected it,i'd assume that was a lot of money to someone.

Did the police let you keep it after 30 days unclaimed.

I had a nice surprise this morning getting in the car I noticed a soggy £20 note near the curb, so straight in the old sky rocket.

This is not the first time, I once when I lived in Camden a £50 scrunched up again by my car and again on a Saturday morning. However although the was the most not the most bizarre as I once drove from Brighton to Mordon and when I arrived on site and got out some workman pointed to my front bumper and said whats that..... It was a again a soggy £20 stuck to my bumper..... Chances of that when, how did that happen on the drive....

Anyone else and how much ?
when i was 14 i found a quarter of hash and 6 trips in a dumaurier packet at brighton station .....platform 3 ,the rest is history.

Went to a casino one night won about £600.00 next day my car broke down had to get a tow to the local garage but got there and it was closed, dumped car their and went home. Next morning realised wallet was missing got a lift to garage and wallet was on floor by the car, survived a night without being pilfered. Not a find but a re-find, very relieved I can say!

Walking into Brighton for a night out in my mid-20's, someone went running past the other way on Marine Parade he'd dropped a trail the best part of £100 in notes sporadically blowing about on the pavement.

Have often dreamt that I go to use an ATM and it keeps churning out notes even before I've put my card in it. Similar to winning the Lottery dreams. Both brought crashing down by waking up!

Many years ago I was on business in Hackney. It was pouring with rain. I parked the car in a street as I opened the door there was a wad of twenties in the gutter. I picked them up got out to see if any others had washed down the road. There was £200 altogether. I dried them off using the heater on full whack and put them straight in my wallet. Kerching.

Nice.

I couldn't live with thinking of myself as a thief, so I'd have handed it in to the police station myself.

£30 hanging out of the cashpoint. I handed it into the bank who took me details. They rang me after a week as it hasn't been claimed and gave it to me. Thems the rules apparently - honesty can pay

I found a £50 note on the North Stand floor after the game and handed it to a steward last night

Back during the long hot Summer of 1976, I firstly found a pound note on Brighton beach, a great find for a 12.00 year old, cigarettes and pinball sorted, then the next day another pound in the gutter of a bus stop enough to get me into the Saltdean Lido and a few ice lollies before diving in the pool to find a trail of coins that again added up to about a pound. Happy days.

More recently found a wallet with £250.00 in it, it had photos and cards so felt personal and I couldnt take it, so found the guy's address and gave it to him, he offered £25.00 reward but couldnt see the point of charging him for my honesty.
