Welcome to NSC Reece.

I once left a hotel, after a works Christmas party at 1.00am, and arrived home about 5.00am. Going by the average walking pace of 3.5 miles per hour, suggests I walked about 14 miles.

Its only a mile and a half in a straight line, mind.

London to Brighton for charity, raised a load of dosh and didn't fancy dancing at the do in the Metropole later that night.

32 miles on an overnight charity walk. It was meant to be 50 miles, but I got to the 32 mile checkpoint early, sat down in the cold dawn to wait for the support services, and my legs literally froze up!
I did make it to work next day though (oh to be 18 again!)

I've walked from Co-op Lewes Rd to Devil's Dyke and then back thinking it would be a nice stroll. Turns out it was a 28km marathon.

Also, I've walked from Victoria train station to Highbury on crutches without a single break. Big shout out to the kid who robbed my phone and wallet at Victoria for that one.

Walked home to Hove from Crawley still drink addled the day after a party.
Walked to Redhill from Hove with the intention of walking to London as a personal challenge but had to stop when new walking boots gave me really bad blisters.

56 miles approximately.
SanCarlos bay to port Stanley, although strictly speaking it wasn’t all in one go as we stopped at various points along the way to do some other ‘stuff’ :)

We did charity walk in equivalent of year 7 from Clayton windmills to St Pancras School in Lewes and back, about 15 miles. Also walked from Derby station to Castle Donnington for rock festival in 1981. Got to Derby at near midnight and some tool suggested the venue was only 4 miles away but turned out to be more like 10!

Westminster Bridge to the Aquarium (Sea Life Centre) in the late 50's raising money for Muscular Dystrophy Research. Took about 18 hours. These days I walk from East Seaford to Newhaven about 4 miles.

Good job there's a sea life centre at the old County Hall, much shorter walk now!!!

Ripe to Moulscoomb when I was a Cub Scout and about 10 years old in the dark and we split up into twos and threes. Blindfolded in a mini van and left to get back with only a map and compass.

Saltdean to Eastbourne on the South Downs Way
