We also have chickens now, they are very low maintenance with the bonus of eggs as well. They're pretty tame and quite like being stoked. Not a bad choice.

Spooky, so am I. I do have a fox living at the bottom of the garden though.

Our large dog ignores the chickens but will go after any fox that comes near.

I agree with this, although I'm thinking of getting chickens.

chickens are cool, but ducks are funny. and to the other poster who mentions the fox, well you'll need a run anyway......go for it. the quality of eggs you'll get is amazing.

as for our favourite....got to be our mad dog, he's a dude!
