Best Kebab in Brighton? Longtime lockdown time since that post-pub joy was allowed us. Tho in the wee small hours, the answer was always the same, and always will be: THE NEAREST

Interesting, because Turkish Delight is nearest to me in Withdean and is consistently good.

And like just about every post-pub kebab house I ever went in, they're doing a top job, serving decent scoff with pride, and showing admirable tolerance to the home-grown drunken filth they are forced to serve in the wee small hours. Check out our homegrown chippies. Most want nowt to do with our post-pub scumbags. Most have shut up shop by about 9pm in this neck of the woods.

There used to be one on London Road called The Best Kebab, which was absolutely the dirt worst. Horrible!

My best/local used to Big Bites on New England Road. Is it still there?

naan isnt the proper bread. Would love to have one like they serve in Germany it is similar to a naan more like naan bread than pita though. Local kebab places now serve in wraps but not the same.

I was too busy munching sausage in Germany so didn't have much chance to try a Kebab. I'll give it a go when I'm next over there.

Probably yes. I was going there about 25 years ago and stopped when he left. I think his name was Beyruz.

Ali Baba in Southwick Square is just fantastic, I'd probably say clearly the best in Sussex. Served on Mediterranean flat bread. Chicken Shish is incredible, they also used to do a very chicken donner.

If your over towards Peacehaven then I'd recommend either Bursa in Newhaven or a new one that's just opened in Telscoombe called Firehouse Grill, both do very, very good chicken shish.

I've only been to Mac Doner in St James Street once, but that was decent too, they make the bread infront of you whilst you wait
