Maybe not the best technically, but a lovelier bass/drum combo I have yet to meet.

Clearly something wrong with my laptop as all I can see are black rectangles!

Exactly the same thing has happened to me in the last two or three days - it was fine before that. I've asked on another thread (probably the best guitarist thread) if any of the technical experts on here can help with suggesting reasons for why it has happened - and more importantly, how to deal with it.

The silence has, unfortunately, been deafening. If you find the cure, please share it!

Theme for great cities - Simple minds.
Derek Forbes is a sublime player, and this track showcases his talent.
Also agree with the nice n sleazy suggestion, JJ at his best .

Great call. An amazing track, by a great band.

Saw Simple Minds at The Dome three years ago. A brilliant gig.

This far in and no mention of either James Jamerson or Carol Kaye?

From jazz --- anything by Ray Brown'd do, really, but this is for starters:

As an old bass teacher of mine said "Any clown can swing at m=120. Can you swing at m=80"?

There are those who maintain Carol Kaye was on guitar, w/Don Begley on bass, for the Glenn Campbell track.

So, to be sure: On Joe Cocker: Feelin' Alright
