A reason to avoid watching the television.

Is the right answer. I enjoy talking about the Albion, Falmer stuff has been organised through Nsc and meeting up at away games.
I have mates in 'real' life who post on here so the pms are handy besides having a laugh with them.
Transfer news always happens here long before it goes on the official site so it's informative and I've learned loads about IT from here.

It's a great big Virtual PUB that you can pop into whenever you want and listen and 'talk' to a wide variety of people.

Like a normal pub there are a good few tossers who you know are OK away from the 'pub' and you know that however much BOLLOCKS is being spouted, you can always walk away.

There are people in there who take themselves FAR too seriously and there are those who are just there to f*** everyone else off.

I spend probably too much time in here but it doesn't rule my life.

I have met some people who I would consider good mates and I've NOT met some people who I would also consider as mates. There are also people who I would LIKE to meet sometime.

I love it.

To me it is like the first cry of a new born child or the bleat of a lost lamb on a snowey night.
Its the howl of a hungry wolf and the chatter of a million crows, its the gracefull arc of a young antelope as it prances across the savanha.
Its the tears and pain of a recent lost love and the girlish excitement of a new romance.
It twists and writhes like a woman aroused and it bows and withers like a naughty willy.
Its clean sheets and freshly aired pillow cases yet it is the damp dark claustrophobic confines of a freshly burried coffin, it kicks and screams like petulant child then collapses into our arms like a lover returned.
Its the sea, the sky and the stars, its love and hate and joy and sorrow.
Its North Stand Chat.
And its a bit of a laugh.
...and there is nothing on the telly.

Its those that log on night after night, some with families who should take a hard look at their exsistances (although not too hard, dont want some VT masacre in deepest Sompting).

I can't log on at work as the fun police's firewall doesn't allow it but I don't think I'm that sad for logging on in the evening. I use NSC as a form of relaxation, everyone here is loosely connected by the thread that is the love of the Albion and an interest in things connected to the city of Brighton and county of Sussex. Perhaps most of the threads have nothing at all to do with any of these things but it's like having a chat with your mates at work - you can forget about all the mundane things that need sorting at home like bills, cooking, ironing and sort the important things like who's had a threesome and the mental state of ADHDinho. And maybe once in a while you find out some decent info about the Albion.

Long live NSC :clap2:

That could have been written by me incuding the police firewall.
Well said, and yah boo sucks to those who think they are superior for not logging on in the evenings.

NSC has been lots of things over the years, in the early days it helped us through the trials and tribulations after we left the Goldstone, then the return to our city and the back to back championships, it has since helped to sustain us in the fight for Falmer.

From a personal point it brings me laughs every day and as someone who lives a long way from Brighton a chance to catch up on news about our team. Although primarily a football board it provides useful tips for the rest of our lives, such useful tips as how to stop a cat s#!^^!ng in your garden and what to grow on the allotment.

Hiney sums it up perfectly, it is a bit like a virtual pub, you can interact with those who you chose, ignore those who you don't, the main advantage is that you don't risk cirhossis or cancer from second hand cigarette smoke by being here...unless you smoke or drink whilst posting.

To me NSC is North Stand Chat. A message forum for Brighton fans.
