At the time this took some beating for her style of Man Booker winning journalism, less than 36 hours after ‘the worst terrorist atrocity to hit mainland Europe in more than a decade’



I literally can’t bear to watch live breakfast news on Sky because of her - I think she must fancy herself as Brian Walden when interviewing politicians but fails monumentally and it ends up being all about Kay Burley and her vapid, insensitive reporting.

She must be appealing to millions though or viewing ratings would be so low, she’d get sacked. Perhaps she’s the housewife’s choice?

Don’t be silly it’s just an example of why I think she’s an insensitive and crap journalist - edited for your benefit to make it clearer - I can post some more recent examples too if you like, including her shoving a large mic into the faces of kids that have just been through a major earthquake, asking them how they’re doing or her ‘walking the walk‘ along the river Wyre behaving like Hercule Poirot - I just don’t see her appeal at all although it’s a minority one:

Fun fact, yon Kay was the only journalist in THE ENTIRE WORLD to actually over-egg 9/11, when she went on Sky News and said, out loud, "the entire eastern seaboard of the United States is under attack".

Don't watch her very often - well, hardly ever in fact. She's obviously offended a lot of people, but that's no concern of mine. They're probably offended about a lot of things.

......but compared to Mrs. Brown's Boys, she is a superstar, a goddess, a vision of good television incarnate. 24/7 Kay Burley - or 24/7 Mrs. Brown's Boys? No contest! The fragrant but somewhat abrasive Ms. Burley every time!

It is a turn of speech. Not necessarily related to odour at all - but however much she may in real life pong to high heaven, the stench will never match that of Mrs. Brown's Boys! Fact.

I generally don’t watch. I’ll click on in the morning in the hope it’s one of the weeks when Niall Paterson is covering for her but if not, it’s over to Euronews.

Euronews is pretty good. They generally just report the news rather than try and make it!

Was gutted when the gorgeous Rosie Wright - who used to host Good Morning Europe - left to join GB News!! Just discovered she’s left there and is now on Times Radio - which I know nothing about!
