Wonder whether you can help me lads and ladies.

I have a few people over for the weekend all between 28 and 35 couples and singles and have been told individually by all of them that breakfast is a must.

I do not want to insult them by just wanging everything into a frying pan, so please.......some suggestions please!!??

Maccy D's.

Personally I like a nice mixture of cereals, pastries and scrambled eggs on toast with some smoked salmon.

Have a main course kinda thing (the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon) with the option of croissants with jams and marmalades and pain au chocolate with corn flakes and coco pops also available for selection as well as a big bowl of fresh fruit in the middle of the table and a nice big pot of tea and a fresh cafetiere of coffee.

Straight in.

Full English is definitely the top breakfast but a pain if you're doing all the cooking, especially the morning after.

My tip is therefore Kedgeree which can be made the day before, kept in the fridge and warmed up in the microwave while you fix the coffee.

Keep it simple - you don't want to be cooking loads of full english if you've been drinking the night before.

Get in a load of croissants or if feeling exotic pain chocolat as they only take a couple of minutes in the oven to serve warm. Make up a few bacon sarnies for the carnivores and everyone should be happy.

Layered in the following order: Lightly warmed and buttered muffins, poached eggs, crispy bacon, hollandaise sauce, all finished off with a sprinkling of chopped spring onions from the garden. absolute heaven :)

Failing that...Kellog's Variety pack (honey nut loops or coco-pop clusters prefered) and milk in bowl.

I made the veggie version of that a couple of weeks ago: spinach instead of bacon. It was top scran. Might get through a lot of eggs if you're making hollandaise sauce for loads of people though.

How about a big fruit salad that people could have with cereal, or on its own, followed by scrambled eggs on loads of toast? Salad can be made the night before and the eggs are easy to do.
