Yeah, After hearing Fergies interview about him wanting Rooney to go to the WC. I was almost convinced

20 mins against Sweden would be ideal, I reckon - or more if the group's pretty much sown up by then. Have him fit for the knock-out stages.

I don't see the point in playing him in the group stages unless we get desperate against Sweden.

The time to unleash him would be as a sub vs Poland in the last 16, let him make an impact and have the Argies / Dutch quaking in their boots for the Q/F, then start him.

This will give him another 2 1/2 - 3 weeks to heal, which I believe he probably needs anyway.

I don't think he will play any part in the group stages, if we progress through the group stages then I think Rooney will play against Poland or Germany.
