Assuming we stay in this division, next year we will again be drawn in the third round of the FA Cup.
What I would do, and announce it in the press is this:
For the five games before the FA Cup game, home and away, each supporter to be given a voucher, entitling them to "apply" for a ticket for the game. These vouchers will be given out when a ticket is printed. The games away will be regarded as all ticket and tickets will only be available through the ticket office ( ie no pay on the day)
When the draw is made, be it a home or away game, only people who have a voucher will be able to get 1 ONE TICKET. If you are a season ticket holder you will get a voucher anyway as part of your ST bundle.
There will be no freebies ( ie players comps or sponsors comps)
If we make it through to the next round, a voucher system based on the next games will be made and so on and so on.
This is what happens at the vast majority of clubs in the country.
The main problem is that as we can only get a small number of people in at the Theater of snooze, and there are a large number of "floating supporters" you will always have a problem with ticket allocation...I dread to think what will happen if we get a draw and Tottenham are invited to play us at our place......
