Of the five home games I've seen this season the thing that stands out is the lack of quality in our play, most of the players have little more skill to offer than those in the conference (they are just fitter) and noticeably less desire to improve or put in the effort required to make a winning team in this division.
Possibly we have too many journeymen pros who know they aren't going any higher and don't want to put in the effort - And the fringe players who do, don't get a look in. If I was a pro footballer who could only control/cross/shoot/sprint as well as most Brighton players I'd be embarrassed at he home performances and be looking to do as the 'real' pro do - staying for extra 'skills' training rather than rushing off to the golf course/snooker hall etc - Seriously, these guys need extra 'specialist skills' training or I can see an embarrassing exit from the FA Cup not to mention the slide into relegation - they have neither the skill or motivation to avoid it at present.
