What happened to these premiership strikers we were gonna get on loan?

I thought MA was hoping to add to the squad with some Premiership surplus, but that nothing would happen until Premiership pre-season was over, the season well and truly kicks off and the teams have a plan for all their players i.e. mid-September

you never know. micky will have a much better idea about who he likes and who he doesn't like in a few weeks time. loan transfer window doesn't shut for ages, and the prem clubs will know by then whether they need some of their younger/fringe players

Let's hope so Barney. With Murray and Forster bound to be out on occasions, we don't have a good back up striker. Anyone who thinks that Hart can step into Murray's shoes this weekend is living in a dreamland.

I like the way Dave the Gaffer turns Micky Adams comments about hoping to get a couple of premiership players into a god given fact they are coming. I presume he works as a journo for the daily mail!!

That's broadly correct. At the Fans Forum he said he was happy with the current squad to start the season and if he had to bring anybody in then he would.

Not fair - DtG was referring to a solid nailed on fact stated by a regular and apparently reliable semi-insider. I was taken in and believed it. May yet come true - good team, but we're a bit thin as noted above.

I doubt much will happen until the 31st Aug transfer window closes & Prem clubs know what players they have and who could do with some more experince by going out on loan. pretty pointless loaning out a squad player now who might be sought by another club as an August transfer target.
