Yeah, why's the lino booting the ref? No wonder he is bleeding.

Somewhere over there...
"The referee decided to suspend the match first because he was seriously hurt, and second because he says that his safety -- and the safety of his assistants and the fourth man -- cannot be guaranteed," a UEFA official told reporters.

italians are allowed to throw abusae at black players all game, throw piss at other fans, throw things on pitch all game and now coin a ref, a few mindless dicks have a fight in a turney and we get a last warning

Cant see them getting banned from future european competitions, as it was the fans not the players, maybe a fan ban may come into play, but this result should definitely be awarded as a win to kiev, and a massive fine to the club, with no appeal being allowed.

i came to the conclusion some time ago that the reason other nations get away with the behaviour they do, is simply because they keep it in their country, they dont seem to take trouble with them when away. So basically no-one outside the city even know anythings happened.

Hopefully this incident will change things, as for far too long clubs in other countries have got away with awful behaviour

I expect the worst punishment Roma will get will be having to play their next game either behind closed doors or at a neutral venue.

Exactly! Italians have never stopped being thugs and yet Europe turn a blind eye.

Richard Keys saying that UEFA will have to decide whether the game should be awarded to Kiev kinda sums it up. If that had been Stamford Bridge all English clubs sides and the National team would be sat at home on European nights for the next 5 years.

hear hear... got a good kicking rubber cosh etc from the police for doing f*** all in that stadium when england played there in world cup qualifier 1997
police were so over the top ... yet the italians who were throwing coins bottles etc werent touched

it was like a scene out of Gladiator with all those coiins comming down

Errrrrrrrrr.... except the Turks of course, but they are immune from punishment for fear of encouraging suicide bombers at the next Fif/Uefa jolly..... well that and the fact that the Uefa vice president is a Turk.

Or having a win awarded to Kiev.

What a sorry state of affairs.

Roma should be banned from the tournament - simple as.

If they're not it will set a precident of:

"Oh, we're losing, let's pelt the ref until the game's abandoned"

Galatasary or Fenerbache away, anyone ???

Only way to deal with the situation IMO.

f***ing disgrace what happened and as already mentioned if it had happened in England (which it wouldn't anyway) then FIFA and UEFA wuld come down on us and ban us form everything :nono:

ukraine fa are appealing for a win to be awarded to them, and i suspect this will be romas only punishment, and maybe a large fine.

Its always one rule for English clubs and a different rule for everybody else. A Leeds fan gets murdered in Turkey and what did UEFA do, nothing and now they award the country the europes biggest club match
