Newmarket.
It used to be the lukewarm month where we looked forward to things hotting up. It never quite lived up to it's billing in some people's minds.
Thanks to the change of climate It seems it's getting hotter already this year.

It’s a British word combining ‘sol’ or sun and brolly, a colloquial term for umbrella. It indicates a March that will alternate equally between sunshine and rain.

Long, cold, dark winters.
And apparently the alternative is watching handball.
I was always given to understand the alternative was tantric sex with a willing nubile blonde, followed by herring.

I'll be sure to have a word with my mate at Stereotypes R Us.

I've just been enjoying the 'Favourite Sussex churches' thread, only to stumble on this.

Which one's Swanny? Or doesn't it really matter?

March is one of my favourite months (well it’s in the top ten at least) Winter ending, Drinking season starting, The wife and boy’s birthday, the start of the flat season and the best time of year to buy a bucket.
