Maybe Newcastle didn't want the full allocation. If we still have tickets for sale now, why would Newcastle have sold out of away tickets (surely the same arguments apply (travel, price, played them last season, on tv....)

Also, wouldn't they have to pay in advance for the extra 5% or so?

They seemed to sell their initial 2k pretty quickly so even if we didn't give them the full 15% but another 500/700 they'd be able to sell them

I'd assume that tickets for areas which could have been used (next to the rest of their fans) may have been on sale to home fans
