Peaky Blinders and Archer have been my favourite stumbled upon finds. Simply excellent TV.

Honourable mentions to Better call Saul which I wanted to hate but couldn't.

Am currently ploughing through the documentary section too and so far can recommend:

Black Fish - story about Orcas bred in captivity in the US and their violent tendencies and why they exist and why you should never go to Seaworld
Supermensch - the story of Shep Gordon agent to Alice Cooper and Mike Myers amongst many many others.
Stop at Nothing - the Lance Armstrong biopic focussing on the doping scandals
The smartest guys in the room - the background to the Enron scandal

Obviously Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, too, when you have finished it.

Sons of Anarchy is brilliant.

Homeland was also an excellent watch.

Can't recall if on Netflix or Amazon, but seen a few excellent films. I Saw The Devil, Blue Ruin and Jo Nesbo's Headhunters in particular are well worth a watch. Enjoyed Vikings series too.

Of those not already mentioned, we really enjoyed Lillehammer, Prison Break and Californication.

Tip:

Install 'Hola Better Internet' (or just Hola!) extension on Google Chrome and spoof your connection into thinking you're browsing from the US.
Login to Netflix, et voila. MUCH bigger Netlifx Library at your fingertips. Connect HDMI from laptop to TV to watch on the bigger screen.

As mentioned above: Stop at Nothing - the Lance Armstrong biopic and Jo Nesbo's Headhunters are absolute must watch films.
After the Tom Hardy film Locke was mentioned on here a while back I watched it and loved it. The off-the-wall US comedy series Portlandia might be worth a look....possibly....

There seems to be a few trailer park boys fans here, I've watched all the spin offs now but there's a movie I've not seen but only seems available on region 1 USA .
Seems you can hack your DVD player to play other regions so ordered the film off amazon, happy days

I'm not sure how safe Hola is, there are reports that it's a botnet. Basically your IP will be uses for DDOS attacks and spamming.

Back to the topic.

Anyone watched Bloodline? I'm really getting into it.
