This lot kicked the rock charts up the arse with their debut “Permission to Land”. It all went tits up for a while but they’re back to their best again now.

Ive already thumbs up' a couple of posts but surprised that Appetite for Dustruction has not been mentioned thus far, and Stereophonics - Word Gets Around. Not the greatest, but both great debuts
To be the greatest debut of all time, there clearly needs to be a Sussex connection to sit perfectly with this forum.

In June 1991, having finished the recording sessions for Ten in Seattle, Pearl Jam flew to England to mix the tracks with Tim Palmer at Ridge Farm Studio, a residential recording complex in a small town near the Sussex-Surrey border.
