What do you consider to be the best ever Pop song and Album

Listen to In Rainbows their best album and my favourite of record of all-time.

Thank God for that, I love the way Radiohead get slagged off by those who i'd bet my bollocks have never heard Weird Fishes, 15 Step, Sail Me To The Moon (one of my 4 year olds favourite songs) Life In A Glass House, There There or Dollars an Cents ......still at least there's always One Direction

Absolutely no disrespect meant, but to underline my post above, my bet is your in excess of 50 years old :)
You'd be right but I think 5.15 is a better track than Won't get fooled again.
People under 25 won't have heard of many of the bands, let alone singles and albums. The only advantage us olduns have is that we have lived through generations of different bands and are better equiped to compare. Having said that, the current bands I like are probably those most influenced by bands from the 60s and 70s - Oasis (and subsequent), Killers, Coldplay, Kaiser
Chiefs etc - what, I am sure, many of the younger NSC members would call Middle of the Road.

Single - Losing My Religion by REM
Album - The Stone Roses

Agreed that naming an album much harder. Honorary mentions to Radiohead (OK Computer), The Smiths (The Queen is Dead) and Pixies (Doolittle).

Also, inexplicably, very attached to Maggie May by Rod Stewart. What a song!

so many bands on here I just wouldn't consider "pop"

here's my effort, the boy can play bass

Sparks released a song called Fletcher Honorama about 42 years ago, when I was 7 (1974) I used to sing along to this song and really enjoy it, I've played it twice today, i'll say ive played this song 3 or 4 times a week for the last 39 years and it still sounds as good to me, as much as I vote for I Am The Reserection or Paranoid Androind I dont suppose anything gets close
