When you're on holiday, and the people on the table next to you are served first, and choose the last lobster in the tank. Ooooh, that pisses me off.

Completely disagree. It's a lazy stereotype, just like the 'typical [insert car brand] driver'.
I know plenty of people who have personalised plates who are perfectly decent people (some employ people, some don't – not sure what difference it makes). There's a woman near me who had an MX-5 with M1 ATA (if you know, you know) as her plate. Is she a ****?

**** checking in to this thread. I have two, one with my wifes initials and one with GTV on the numberplate in case I forget what type of car I have

I like personalised plates as long as they don’t need to be buggered about with to make up some name or hilarious phrase
I think personalised number plates indicate the owner has too much disposable money - and yes it's annoying.....
