Sounds quite a strange one, but always used to be Boxing Day. Now though is last home match before Christmas, since Withdean, for some strange reason the Friday night matches, Sportsman early for crimbo dinner with footy chums really always enjoyed that fixture, and we often won which is a good thing to. Wasn't sure if it would feel the same at the AMEX but loved the whole feel, band playing etc, so yes in answer last home match before Christmas.

FA cup first round day. There is still something deeply magical about small clubs pitting their wits against full-time professionals.

When I was younger it used to be seeing the release of new kits for the forthcoming season. Still holds some magic - seeing who has got new sponsors, the various colour schemes and patterns etc.
