My foreign travel - in the order in which I first visited these countries:-

France
Switzerland
Italy
Vatican City
Ireland
Austria
Yugoslavia
Greece
Germany
Luxembourg
Belgium
Liechtenstein
Netherlands
Poland
Czech Republic
Slovakia
Hungary
Russia
Kazakhstan
Israel
Palestine

And I've seen Albania and Jordan, but not set foot inside.

If Scotland and Wales count, then I'll claim Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia as well. And Jersey and Northern Ireland.

I'm hoping to make it in September and at the same time to visit two of the other Stans: Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Had an amazing trip to Georgia (not the one on Ray Charles' mind) last year, including a scary helicopter ride up to the border with Chechnya. Was also due to go to a conference in Zamora, Spain last year, but didn't make it. Shame, there would have been plenty of photo opportunities there.

I've been to Zamora, Wienergull - made a detour specifically en route to somewhere else. It's a picturesque place with friendly people and a nice atmosphere, I'm pleased to relate. :)

Very unimpressive, but I've not spotted Kenya by anyone else, so do I get the prize for that one? (Granted, I've not been reading very carefully, so it's probably been named 7 times already)

Ok, I've just spotted Icy Gull had it. Bollocks.

Wasn't that impressed either, there seemed to be a racial undercurrent there which made me feel pretty uncomfortable. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, was probably the place and the people I liked best of all. It was about 8 years ago before Mugabe went totally insane.

Zimbabwe was better, not such a racial undercurrent. Yes, you can see that must have been a few years ago!!.

Only spent a few days in Nairobi, so wasn't that bothered by it. Spent a week on Safari, which was incredible, and a week in a beach resort (Turtle Bay anyone), which was also pretty good, but didn't compare to the safari week. Didn't have many problems with any sorts of racism once outside the capital.

This sounds like a bit of a one upmanship competition to see who has been to the most countries, so here goes:

England
Northern Ireland
Scotland
Wales
Eire
France
Germany
Belgium
Netherlands
Luxembourg
Switzerland
Austria
Turkey
Cyprus
Kenya
Tanzania
South Africa
Canada
USA
Mexico
Aruba
Peru
Bolivia
Paraguay
Argentina
Brazil
Ascension Island
Falkland Islands
Thailand

I am heading off to Borneo at the end of the month so that will be another one to add to the list. I can't claim to have worn the stripes in that many of those countries as I prefer to travel incongrously rather than attract attention as another Brit abroad. I have however worn them in and around Glasgow which has to rate as pretty brave, or maybe just plain stupid.
