Just back ,not as bad as first thought .Too many beers in Guildford last night . 0514 ran off Guildford today ,delays off Euston ,Northern kindly held the connection up at Lancaster . Arrived in Dalton in Furness for opening time ,Red Lion and Brown Cow deserve many Plaudits proper Northern welcome . Outclassed by a fine Barrow side in a proper old school wet and windy ground ,the stewards even let us off the £3 transfer to the stand. 75 away fans .A decent carry out on the way back ,just made the last train back home by 4 minutes . Time for a shower 33 hours after leaving home .

I get that the trains are up the swanny but presumed there would be more coach options than Heathrow

The Aberdeen loyal made it home before me tonight by 25 minutes some going due to SWR being useless today ,He has missed only 3 games this season. That is proper watching the dross we serve up

Some more than others, I think! Age, money, circumstances, health can all take their toll. But Aldershot to Barrow for a December fixture via dodgy trains is good going by any standards!
