"Silent Village - Life and Death in occupied France" by Robert Pike, it's both a fascinating and horrifying account of the massacre the Nazis committed in the village of Oradour-sur-Glane, very readable despite the darkness of the subject matter.
Is that a historical novel or non fiction account?

It is historical and contains eye witness testimony from some of the few survivors, absolutely traumatic what they went through.
Thanks. I have been there before ( we walked around it )they did let people in the church but it was too traumatic to go in

Restless Dead by Dave Gatward. Number 5 in the DCI Harry Grimm series. Very unchallenging.

Finished reading your book a few weeks back, think I had nearly finished it when i posted on this thread October 15th.
Enjoyed reading it, pleased i bought it.
Oh crikey, that was quick 😂
Thank you so much for your kind words and I’m really glad you enjoyed it.
Please could you do me a massive favour when you get a spare sec and stick a review on Amazon? That would be brilliant!
Cheers again, Stuart.

I got my copy from Waterstones website, I will see if I can review on there. I don’t use Amazon, my wife has an account that she occasionally gets me things I can’t find elsewhere.

Ah, ok, I think there might be a couple on Waterstones as I know of a few blokes who bought it from them.

I’m still having to do all the promotional stuff at the moment as my publishers are being useless so any positive reviews will really help.

Many thanks again.

inside The Third Reich Albert Spiller Interesting his relationship with Hitler but so little mention of Nazi attrocities and saying he did not know of concentration camps have a job to take it seriously

Cracking book. Absolute fiction. It’s Albert Speer, by the way.
