The first of my season's bets paid out last week: handicap bet on Brighton to win Championship. I've piled all my winnings onto laying a Brighton win tomorrow - we're about 3-5 on.

I decided to a former colleague's leaving party up in London rather than watch the Brum-Middlesbrough game to increase the positive karma. Unfortunately the venue had a number of big screens that were showing the game and almost avery time I spoke to anyone I could see the game over their shoulder.
