Increase the capacity to 35,000 then we would know that the club are ambitious to reach the Premiership not prop up the Championship with a half full 22,000

We were being sensible and now you come up with this nonsense.

What is nonsense in being realistic.

We could not sustain a Premiership team on gates of less than that. 22000 indicates that the ambition is to be a championship side only. If our hardcore support doubles that will take us up to about 10,000 each game, not counting away support, which is below the break even figures, which will mean that we will have to reduce our outlay on wages etc. That will mean that the team will suffer, results will suffer and we will be a low to midtable Championship side at the best.

Southampton lasted YONKS at The Dell with a 15K capacity. 22K is a reasonable level to pitch the Falmer capacity at initially IMHO.

No I am not but I have always believed that 22000 is too many for us now and not enough to progess to a very high level.

Maybe we should build a stadium with inflatable stands so we can pump them up or let them down depending which league we are in?

In reality it's taken long enough to get permission for the capacity were going for so imagine how much longer it would take for a 35,000 stadium? And thats if there was any site available anyway?

Sure, and 35,000 blokes in cloth caps and overcoats don't turn out to football anymore. In case you weren't aware, the kind of incomers clogging up the commuter trains in Brighton nowadays are the kind of selfish fucks who would cherry-pick Champions League games. 22,000 is a realistic figure for where we are now and where we're likely to be for the foreseeable.

Both have very wealthy Chairmen. And both have a history of past glory in the old 1st Division.

This 22000 not enough is only a personal view and the people in the best position to know i.e MP says it is sufficient.

All I want during the years that I have left on this earth is to see BHA in the same position as Pompey are now.
