Cardiff City.

Over to you, Seagull73. Go and tell them the story of how you and three mates were set upon by 20 or so Cardiff pikeys last time we played there, while the police stood there and did nothing. They said they couldn't identify them because they weren't wearing Cardiff shirts.

Martin Perry wrote to Sam Hamman about this, and he just replied that he didn't believe a word he was saying because Cardiff City doesn't have a hooligan problem. Unbelievable stuff. I'm not making this up.

Go on, Seagull73, you tell them. Go on, go on.

Hereford was the worst i've seen.

They totally destroyed an Albion van at a petrol station (BEFORE the game) and i MEAN destroyed.

The fight after, with them, us & old bill (by the meat market) was something else.

Pure violence.

Although I've been to see Albion at Millwall, Cardiff etc. the only act of violence that has actually been perpetrated on my person was after the Hereford FA Cup match in '98 (?).

Walking through the carpark after the game and a group of lads came over and pushed my sister (!) who happened to be wearing a Brighton shirt. Whether the intention was to provoke me or not I don't know, but I obviously reacted and pushed over the bloke who did it. They then proceeded to hold my arms behind my back (brave) and take turns hitting me in the face/stomach. I was lucky to get away with a few cuts and bruises, but I'd say that they were the worst, purely for picking on a girl!!

You can't go round categorising (sp) which fans are bad and which ones are not anymore

Trouble could happen at ANY game, regardless of the two teams playing

If you act like a tit (and that includes singing Albion songs in a pub in an away game) then you are going to get noticed and some people are going to take offense

If you go about your business and act "normally" then you will avoid trouble nearly everytime, unless you are unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time

I could list the grounds I've been to, where I have been a neutral (and the two teams fans have "history") and not been involved in any trouble, and felt safe at all times, but that's boring........basically don't not go to an away game this season because you are afraid that you are going to get bother, its not the 70s/80s anymore

I know you lot said you got a warm welcome in Cardiff in May but I think that's cos they hate Bristol City more than they do you!

Been to games against Cardiff at Loftus Road and in Cardiff for the playoff final ... they really are the dregs of humanity!

I went there in March, and it was perfectly safe.
If you go looking for trouble, or acting like you own the place, you'll find trouble, but if you just go to watch your team, and keep aware of anything developing around you, you'll be fine.

WRONG................................. they will catch you if they can..... they have no scruples either about giving so-called 'scarfers' a kicking.

Been there twice, ...no not recently....... and vowed not to go again.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

In my experience, there are only a few others to compare, Sheffield utd and Man City, and Millwall of course, although i have had more problems with Millwall when watching Albion at Palace, than when I have been to the old or new Den.
