It’s an interesting one, as surely tier 4 will prohibit even elite sport... ? A lot of noise up here (north east) re two Newcastle ‘stars’ who Covid has really hit hard...

Thoughts?

Could this mean tomorrow’s match is in reality a non game? Or is the vaccination really going to, you know, actually work?

Shite times.

The most debatable part of this thread is your claim that’s it’s an interesting one.
Because if we learned anything this year, it’s that the football authorities are rather good at finding a way for the show go on.

I will be locked down again completely in Jan

They will then have a decision to complete the domestic season or the Euros/World cup

Until the Scientists say that outside transmission is an issue, then manageable (non-mass-enclosed transport) attendance at sporting events should stay. Christmas is cancelled because (we are told) of intimate, in-house contact leading to mass transmission - not because 2-4000 people will turn up at the Amex to watch The Albion struggle to win at home.

Please, no more tiers.

Johnson's guaranteed that.

I assume somebody's already said this probably across the four pages, but Tier 4 is essentially the November lockdown, isn't it? In which case football will continue, as it did in November.

Absolutely none, as we know all footballers will respect the guidelines and keep to the rules so no problem whatsoever.
