WSU - we are regarded and treated as the "poor mans" fans, also, can we go back to piglets pies with chunks of steak in them?
I’ve been corresponding with Piglets Pantry recently about the quality of their pies this season. It’s not been a one off!! I had an undercooked chicken Balti pie on Sunday … some of the pastry was raw! I sent photos to them and they asked which kiosk I got it from (I’m also in WSU).

This was one of the messages they sent me …

“Hello, thanks for your update. It's very useful. This is part of a longer ongoing investigation of ours. Rest assured we are in discussions with our chefs and the AMEX to try and make sure this is rectified. Can I ask which kiosk/stand you purchase your pies from?”

I used to love their pies … had one every home game … so hope they sort this out for next season!!

Is an undercooked pie their fault ? I know they part bake to be heated at the Amex but not sure how much is up to them

It would be nice if it was possible to wait until actual half time, walk back to the foyer, have a wee, buy a beer, maybe a pie, drink it, have another wee, get back to my seat for the second half.

Is that asking for too much? It feels like this should be the norm.

The thing where they stop serving beer at what would have been the end of half time if no stoppage time is stupid, it isn’t how the game works!

There are a couple of applications on the councils website with a visual updating of the stadium and new signs.

Only just been submitted though so doubt will be ready for next year. Maybe they'll do it part way through the season.

As usual I'd like the impossible.

I'd like a comparatively narrow, one way, segregated, 'wheels' path down to the Bridge Car Park.
Half of the space would be available just by clearing the weeds from the trackside fence.

Is the sweets trolley ever coming back???? (WSU). Given up hope that the fried chicken in WSU will ever been seen again. All the proposed outdoor changes (ie big screens) would be amazing if this means not everyone has to queue to get into Dicks bar to watch the earlier games, especially on the warmer days. Toilets outside now are a good start, probably need another couple of those around the ground, but it's getting there slowly. Suppose extending the Falmer platform to allow for longer trains is out of the remit of this thread....

I didn’t say it was PP fault. But it has their branding all over it and I thought they should know. They were already aware of issues which they are trying to resolve. I’ve had goodness knows how many of their pies over recent years and know how good they are. But something seems not right at the moment. If something was going wrong with your product - wouldn’t you want to know??

I had a similar experience with a CB pie from the North Stand on Sunday.

Here and There
In West Upper there is a kiosk that has been closed for more than a season, change that to either self serve beer pumps or hot drink vending machines.
AND WHY DO WE NOT HAVE SAUSAGE ROLLS?
I’ve been thinking of moving to WSU from NS as the football we play looks amazing from up there, however, the fact they don’t sell sausage rolls will keep me in the North for the foreseeable future.

The queues in WSU and the lack of space in their concourses is also horrendous compared to NS…

If I had a ST up there, I wouldn’t be happy at all.

Blimey I'd be surprised if you could achieve that at any EPL ground.

We are certainly treated at a different level of service in the WSU compared to the rest of the ground.

On a hot afternoon the Upper West concourse can get pretty uncomfortable, very busy, hot. Before the City game, on not a particularly hot day it was getting there.

It is a shame the little kiosk had been shut for so long, having sold a variety of things; Pie and a pint, amazing Piglets sausage rolls, KFC style chicken (also amazing).

Overall in love watching from the WSU, the view of the game is 2nd to none (in lucky to be just North of centre, 2nd row), you get to see the majesty of our passing game laid out before you.

What makes the WSU less attractive is the huge queues which fill large parts of the concourse at times making it hard to move North to South (and vice versa) and that combined with the heat, it can feel somewhat claustrophobic at times.

On the wider subject of what needs to change, i agree that the whole place needs a clean and refresh. There's a very green sick stain on the wall about 2/3 of the way up the Northern end stairwell that had been allowed to develop so unchecked that I think it might be close to sentience.

It is just so stupid, if they could figure out how to serve everyone they could be making more money.
I struggle to see the necessity to have beer in such a short time.

Your expectation of serving a huge amount of desperate alcoholics in such a short time has the same ring to it of those that expect to leave the biggest event in the South East unimpeded and at speed.

Boringly I'd like a healthy food option in WSU. Doesn't have to complex, just not something beige.
