My personal favourite is still:

'Two Kerry Mayos, there's only two Kerry Mayos... etc' . 🤣

PS: for any youngsters out there, Kerry Mayo's wife was also called Kerry. 😉

For any youngsters out there, Kerry Mayo was a Brighton & Hove Albion footballer.

If I remember rightly there was one game at the Goldstone where on the spur chants were made up for our players, "Flatts the way I like it" started it off

If Wieffer ever gets fit and back in the team, I am going to be FUMING if we don't pile on with "Mats the way AH HA AH HA I like it AH HA AH HA"

At the Goldstone I always liked 'Tiptoe through the North Stand, With your boots on......'

My favourite 'one off' was whilst playing Grimsby at Withdean. We won 4-1 and were somewhat aided by a poor game from their custodian. It still makes me smile now when, instead of 'Dodgy keeper', I remember the spur of the moment chant in H block of 'Fishy Keeper':ROFLMAO:

One Boxing Day in the eighties after a particularly lucky win at Filbert Street, the Leicester fans were on the pitch and hurling abuse and other stuff at us from the other side of a police cordon. Albion fans: "We blame the parents!"

Also at Oldham around the same time with the wind and rain coming in from every direction, responding to "You're going down with the Preston" there was a rousing chorus of "We're going down with pneumonia!"

GOSBTS as it is our anthem but I love the way it has evolved back to the original lyric. I still love the gallows humour way it was changed to...."and we're going down and we have no ground, in Sussex by the Sea" in the dark days of the loss of the Goldstone and Gillingham. Hopefully we'll get featured in Colin Murray's excellent 5 Live feature on the origins of club's anthems. He explores the origins but the way the songs change and I think our is more interesting than most.

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Yeah whatever did happen to him? He was brilliant at Withdean. So I shall add " Krispies Krispies do your rap" to one of my fav songs!
Work, marriage and lots of kids. He still gets to an occasional game.
