I'm tempted to start a moisturiser thread.

Never put anything other than emolient/acqueous cream (£1.99 for a monster tub from all good supermarkets) on your visage, it's water-based and non-astringent, anything else has perfume and other poncy additives that are bad for the skin. I've been using it daily for 24 years (doctor's recommendation cuz I suffer with dry skin) and I honestly look about 12 years old - your skin literally drinks the stuff when you slap it on.
