Anyone else just sitting, pondering what the hell our little club is on the verge of hopefully achieving within the next 24hrs? Lots of fans from many clubs are or have been experiencing the high and lows of another crazy football season. I've enjoyed this season I truly have but I reckon I've aged more in the last month worrying about The Albion. How have you good people of NSC coped over the last month. Yes there is more to life than football but this is a football forum so to help me get through the next few hrs to kick off I would love to find out how some of you are fairing? UTA

Agree….it’s all a bit odd, and I’m a confirmed JCL (watched a few matches at the Withdean, then STH at the Amex since 2013). Overly interested in the Spurs and Villa games today knowing what they could mean, and probably won’t sleep well tonight to be honest. Wasn’t overly bothered about the Newcastle result (expected to lose, had a great trip otherwise), suspected tomorrow might be huge and it is.

I was desolate after Everton, ecstatic after Arsenal, ho hum after Newcastle, optimistic but extremely nervous after today's results. Surely we will crush the worst team in the league, won't we? Surely?

To add to my original post, it feels like the my stomach has gone back to the two days when my sons were born, my driving test, eves of exams, job interviews and all the other things that SHOULD be more important than football. A bed wetter some may say but such a weird and strange feeling. It's a funny old game!

Bluddy annoyed about Liverpool today - they could have done us a massive favour and given us a peaceful evening.

Tomorrow's game now has 'banana skin' written all over it - you know how this goes with us!

How do we define 'coped'? I'm not dead, but I wouldn't class that achievement as 'coping'.

Friends were around last week when we beat Arsenal (she had remembered she was an Arsenal fan) and we were round there today (she'd forgotten she was once an Arsenal fan again). I (unsociably, sorry) spent the afternoon checking my phone and they asked if my life was still dominated by football, and when it would end.

Of course I know health etc is more important, but football is basically the only thing I care about right now.

I've been in a state of disbelief of all season but it really accelerated with Mac at the WC and then the Liverpool results (not sure why as they were all over the shop). Haven't got the faculties to compute European football, not sure when that will sink it or if it ever will. All just feels very surreal.

Nope. That would leave no room for agony.

For me personally, it's been a journey.
From the smells of cigars and sounds on the radio on way back from the Goldstone on the train home, to hopefully listening to Cantor and Wozza commentating in a euro styleeee....

Coping - by literally taking each game at it comes, deliberately not knowing the next set of fixtures and avoiding nsc threads worrying about points tallies/Aston Villas are unstoppable etc.
The unbeatable invincible fearsome Aston Villa. God like team of footballers, or so you might think reading the posts on here.

Although the juxtaposition of posts today is we could easily win the Europa League v no possible chance of getting anything at Villa Park.

How do you deliberately avoid them ? You post on most of them :lolol: :lolol:
:lolol:
I am selective, ignoring:
- doom n gloom, the end is nigh threads. Some thrive on injury news … minutes after a win.
- points required threads, with some people putting Villa and Spurs on a pedestal, why?

The new website software is great … the Ignore function means you don’t get to see doom-monger threads, at all!

You're coping better than me then
