Hmm...just trolled through this thread.

Back from the game thread - Page 2

Think my OP thread, sums us up today quite correctly then.

Great. You're crowing about not going to a Brighton game because we didn't play well at times. Just what team have you been watching since the early 90s? 14 years ago, I'd have sold my granny to see Brighton playing this well. Do yourself and the rest of us a favour and give your season ticket to someone who appreciates it.

I think we will just about avoid relegation however as previously pointed out unless we play attractive and attacking football at home our season ticket sales could well be affected next year, a huge percentage of present season ticket holders are first timers and were attracted by last seasons displays and cant be guaranteed to continue their support on a regular basis.

No team can guarantee anything in football. That's the fun of supporting a team. Most fans understand that and that is why they pay to watch a 2nd tier team rather than watch Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal.

Sorry have to agree with the OP. Don't want to get into a war of worlds but we have been pretty rubbish of late. To create fewer goal scoring chances than Doncaster or Coventry is 'pretty rubbish'.
To watch Harley or Paynter is 'pretty rubbish'
To see our players fall down like ballerinas 'is pretty rubbish'
Our goal keeper wouldn't be a first choice in any other league club in this division.
Our disciplinary record 'is pretty rubbish'.
Our track record of getting players in who are fit 'is pretty rubbish'

The manager is lucky that we have moved into a new stadium & for our
results until April. 4 points from the next two games & all will be well.
Lose the next two & I suspect Gus will be pooping himself.

I actually thought ankeran played bloody well...had no chance with any of the goals and made a blinding save in the first 10 minutes

possibly, but if we used the rationale that's often employed on here that means that CMS needs replacing!

Definitely not Diego, Im a CMS fan big time and would love to see him partnered once again with Mr Mclean. It would be like reuniting Batman and Robin!

Silly old bat
I've just got back from the game to this rubbish.

Please - do yourself and us a favour and find another hobby. This is the first time for around 20 odd years that I've felt relaxed about Brighton being good enough to stay a Championship side. We play, at times, exciting attractive football and at others frustratingly but we're mid-table with a great manager and a fantastic side. We'll be a mid-table side at the end of the season and I am very happy with that.

Seriously, piss off and support Man U if you want just to see a side win all the time. These are brilliant times to be a Brighton fan - for me that's true, anyway. I don't know what more you expect from a side that has been consistently a 3rd and 4th division football team for the majority of the last 30 years.

I refuse to have my Christmas spoiled by dinlows like you.

Spot on. Interesting that the OP says that he 'trolled' through this thread. That's exactly what he is, a troll just trying to get a reaction.

I can't believe some people expect us to win every week :D Imagine if we got to the Prem! Gus could get us two promotions but if we're not challenging for Europe in the first season, well quite frankly, he has to go!

f*** off and support Man City you stupid pricks.

I predicted 12th at the start of season and after 1st half of season I am still convinced that's where we will finish.

This season is a massive learning curve for gus and the players and a mid table finish is no shame considering our previous spells in the championship
