Not only does today mark the release date of the amazing Open Season from British Sea Power but also Napster have 114 Smashing Pumpkins tracks for you to download for a piddling £7.95 in the form of the Rarities & B-Sides album.

Now then, if that doesn't moisten your musical crotch then there's no hope for you.

They are going to blow a lot of old bands out of the water. Bye bye Radiohead, Cure, Owasters.

I f***ing love The Smashing Pumpkins. Gish & Siamese Dream - two of my all time faves.

I've just been on Napster and can't see the link to the offer.

They're another of my guilty pleasures. Their pomposity has to be overcome, i find. But once it is, they damn well rock.

Type Smashing Pumpkins into the Napster search engine and it'll take you there.

Jason Bonham, Johns son would be the likely drummer.

He's a better drummer than his pop imo.
He played a Zep set at the House Of Blues on Sunset as a 10th anniversary of his Dad's death, and he was outrageously good then. His sister was also excellent as a vocalist (set before his) but she somehow has been overlooked by fame and fortune.

Saw Robert Plant at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday, still bloody good. Page was there in a Exec Box, but did not get on stage. I dont think there will ever be a Zep renunion, as they dont need the cash (they both earnt 56 million last year) and it would never be the same (as you can not describe how good they were live and I have seen, The Who, Stones, U2, Queen) and without Bonham is like sleeping with Kylie without the sex.

and 1-0 to us today - Jake Robinson
