Hmm not too sure about this one. He has a decent pedigree to be sure, but Upson was at a higher level and was also a physically stronger player who was a natural CD. Hughes has played most of his career at FB and has also struggled with injuries over the last couple of seasons. Hope I'm wrong...

Straight replacement for Upson, should have the same tactical nous at the back. He's had a long career in the top flight and knows the game at the best levels. Should be a good signing with Maxi and Dunk behind him and Greer. Happy. Now we need a LB and GK stat.

Not the most exciting signing as I don't think he did very well at QPR last season but adds to our depleted numbers I suppose.
