Was having an evening drink at the Horley 'Spoons a few weeks before Xmas.

Was loads of Brexit stuff on the tables for punters to enjoy.

I then stopped at the 'Spoons at London Victoria station, on the way home from the Man U game Saturday, no Brexit stuff anywhere.

So maybe the propaganda is targeted?

I'd guess they don't put it in the airport branches.

Some are ok, (Marina is probably the best Spoons i've been to.
Some are terrible (George St is probably the worst, mostly just old men coughing their lungs up).

But I won't go to any of them any more. Brighton is packed with independent pubs selling quality beer and i've now seen the effect on people and supply chains for that sort of stack em high sell em cheap, bully your suppliers business model. I'd rather pay more to sit in a better pub. Oh and I don't like the political views either so I definitely won't go there now.

People drink in spoons for the same reason they voted Leave. They’re uneducated morons.

Thats odd, i only really go to them at away games.(apart from the Marina, which is pleasant to sit outside at in the summer)
They are sometimes quite convenient for meeting the others at an early hour for some breakfast or just meeting in general for the start of the days shenaningans if there are a few of you.
I take it you dont go to away games, there is often a spoons on any pub crawl of the local hostelries on away match day and its rude not to pop in and have a quick beer, especially when so many Albion fans frequent them too so they can catch up with mates and fellow Albion fans............or uneducated morons as you put it.

"Specialist" pubs, eh?

Nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more, say no more...

I work in the docklands - plenty of those around but they're different pubs!

The 'spoons is opening a short wobble from a smaller brewery owned pub that does a large guest selection, cask, etc; and an independent that's primarily craft a bit further up the road. Both are phenomenally expensive.

I imagine the customers and surroundings are more preferable though, hence you pay more?

They do a LOVELY eggs benedict for less than a fiver on their breakfast menu. I had one in the Worthing 'Spoons the other week (The Three Fishes ?). Limitless refillable coffee as well, whats not to like ? Well, aside from being surrounded by hoards of ashen-faced coffin dodgers getting twatted at 9am.

Difficult to beat the breakfast stuff for the money. Often take the sprog there on a weekend. Slap up binge for about a tenner with unlimited tea and coffee and I like how you can swap the disgrace that is hash browns for an extra egg / bacon / sausage etc.

As others have said, some are like a scene from The Walking Dead but others are perfectly acceptable.

I think the owner is a **** though.
