Those of us of a certain age - old, very old, still alive just - will remember the plethora of westerns on TV. My favourite was the Lone Ranger with Clayton Moore(?) as LR and Jay Silverheels as Tonto. During that TV era you could watch any of the following :
Gunsmoke, Champion the Wonder Horse, Rin Tin Tin, Boots and Saddles, Bonanza, Maverick, Wells Fargo, Range Rider, Rawhide, Laramie, Wagon Train, Tenderfoot and probably loads more. Definitely more entertaining than today’s crop of reality, look at me, look at me, television crap.

Not really watched many Westerns tbh, but Once Upon A Time In The West is a classic...as is "How the West was Won", with its "reckless adventure & awesome violence" The restored trailer looks incredible....a true epic.

If you're ever in my neck of the woods, you can visit the film sets where the Dollars trilogy, amongst other spaghetti westerns, were filmed. Some of the sets have been jazzed up a bit with Can Can shows and shoot-outs. Others are just preserved as sleepy wild west towns.

Did a bit of a pilgrimage to that set in Almeria whilst in Andalucía a few years back.
The train station from the beginning of Once upon a Time in the West is also round the corner from there.

The Outlaw Josey Wales is one of the best films of all time imo.

Also love El Dorado and Rio Grande.

Couple of recent series worth a look if you like the genre.

Lawmen: Bass Reeves on Amazon Prime and Godless on Netflix.
