Some relatively serious journalists suggesting Leach open the batting. Got to say, maybe not as ridiculous as it sounds. At least he can push singles, something our red ball openers are completely unable to do

Has an average of 92 opening for England.

We know our batting can collapse at the drop of a hat. Now we seem to have found that our bowling attack, having reduced our opponents to 177 for 8, can also collapse. 50 partnership up for the ninth wicket......................

Ridiculous, although not unexpected, bowling performance from England. What price a Da Silva Century?

Closing in on it. 90no.

Utterly, utterly taking the piss, I will stand and applaud his Century and at this rate it won't be long...

EDIT if I were the Windies I would let him get his ton and then declare - sorry you can't bowl us out, please have another bat.

What is Overton doing? Banging the ball in on a featherbed at 80 mph. Root has to go, these tactics are beyond stupid. This bowling attack should be nowhere near test match cricket, either.

Finally out? Or not.

Never seen that before. Both teams walking off the field, having to turn round and come back out!

How many wickets will we lose by the time we are level?

Also he pitches it up and nearly gets him. Play proper cricket and you have a chance of getting people out.

You have to wonder if the snicko detector is 100% effective as Da Silva was convinced he was out, and just used the review as a token gesture. Quite bizarre.

Maybe a match winning innings though.
