If ever summin proved you should just play the fuckin game!

I'm sorry but that's just the bad luck of losing the toss as far as i'm concerned, if it starts gettin dark tough shit (unless obviously the bowling side are well behind on their over rate)

After the initial reaction of amusment, what a shit way to finish a match. A bit of a hollow victory for us, they need to sort this light business out, it shouldn't be up to the batsmen.

This wasn't up to the batsmen though. The WI management team f***ed up. They called them in thinking they'd won, then found out they hadn't.
What I mean is that it shouldn't be up to the batting team. There should be an agreed standard light reading that every team should stick to whereever they're playing, that way teams can't use the light to their advantage. It would then be up to the umpires to halt play, rather than offering the batsmen a choice.

If the windies thought they were behind they would've stayed on. It's either light enough to play or it isn't. At the moment the rules are setup so it's light enough if you're behind, if you're ahead you go in (or the reverse of that in a test match).

There's definitely something wrong with that.

That's just not true: there's a world of difference between facing Fidel Edwards or Chris Gayle - the light required would be completely different.
