At £400, we could have had Zavon Hines up front for the REMF team.

Interesting to see an arguably "past it" Benni Mcarthy (signed by Gold and Sullivan) is still on a healthy £40,000 a week

I was just starting to think that the silly wages were given out a couple of years back or more, and perhaps it's now a bit more sensible .... then I saw McCarthy!!

Christ! they really are a joke club.

It was only a few years ago they got relegated and had a firesale. At least then they had the likes of Defoe, Carrick, Johnson, Cole to offload.

Now they are left with an unmanageable wage bill, and a squad full of utter crap they no one else is likely to want (possible exception Parker, and maybe Green & Upson who have looked awful this year).

No sympathy for any of these clubs at all.

Unless the authorities take a closer look at the finances of these clubs I see a club going belly up mid-season and not being able to complete their fixtures before long.

I'd like to think it's not accurate but it really highlights what is wrong with football.

The Prime Minister is on just under £3000 a week (£130,000 a year)

Peter Kurucz, who I'd never heard of, is 21 and has played once for West Ham, is on £5000 a week (£260000 a year) :lolol:

Absolutely ridiculous!

That wage bill is c. £800,000 per week, not including admin / support staff or Employer's NI. Scary stuff.
