TEAM NEWS
West Ham will assess Kurt Zouma and Lucas Paqueta, who have both been nursing knee injuries.
It's unclear whether Mohammed Kudus, Nayef Aguerd, Maxwel Cornet and Said Benrahma will be cleared to play before heading to the Africa Cup of Nations.
Brighton pair Igor Julio and Facundo Buonanotte are both fitness doubts after suffering injuries against Tottenham last Thursday.
Pervis Estupinan scored in that game on his return from a muscle problem.
MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
- In this season's reverse fixture in August, West Ham earned their first Premier League victory against Brighton at the 13th attempt (D6, L6).
- Brighton's only defeat in their eight top-flight visits to West Ham was by 2-1 at Upton Park in March 1983 (W2, D5).
- The Hammers have won six of their eight most recent league matches and need one more top-flight victory to equal last season's final tally of 11.
- David Moyes' side can register four consecutive Premier League victories for the first time since November 2021. They have never done so without conceding a goal.
- A fourth Premier League clean sheet in a row would equal the club record, set a decade ago.
- West Ham's tally of 33 points is their highest after 19 games of a top-flight campaign since 1985-86, when they had 38.
- They have not lost their opening league fixture of a calendar year since a 2-0 home defeat by Manchester United on 2 January 2017.
- Mohammed Kudus could become the first West Ham player to score in four consecutive Premier League home games since Jesse Lingard in February-April 2021.
- David Moyes has lost 238 Premier League matches, the joint-most alongside Harry Redknapp.
- Brighton are vying to win successive league games for the first time since a run of three in September.
- They are unbeaten in their opening league fixture of the calendar year since a 1-0 home defeat against Wolves in 2016 (W3, D4).
- Albion have won just three of their past 13 top-flight matches, accruing 15 points during that period.
- They are on a club record run of 23 successive league games without keeping a clean sheet.
- A league-high 12 of Brighton's 38 Premier League goals this season have been scored by substitutes.
- James Milner's next Premier League appearance will be his 632nd, putting him joint-second alongside Ryan Giggs in the all-time list and only behind Gareth Barry's mark of 653.
- Milner would equal Giggs' record of making a Premier League appearance in 23 different years.
