Seconded. Last time I went (a Saturday afternoon) finding somewhere vaguely in the vicinity for a decent bit of grog was an absolute MISSION.

So we went into the away end with a view to having a few on the concourse. What we didn't realise was that there wasn't a "concourse" as such. Just a ground-level open air area behind the turnstiles under the stand, with a bit of flapping canvas strapped overhead. I think this was also in January, the wind was howling, and it was cuffing FREEZING. So if that is still how it is now, then anyone who went tonight has my deepest sympathies.

At least we saw a 3-3 from 3-1 down though.
The outside food outlets are ok ish but VERY expensive. There isn’t a single decent pub in cycling distance. And it’s not a football ground. The most soulless experience of my life and I’ve been to Grantham.

It's all that a football stadium shouldn't be.

What a soulless ground that is.
To be fair, their fans did not choose it. And let’s be honest, our North Stand by design is hardly a cauldron of passion. Would be lovely to see it improved upon sometime.

I thought the opposite re pubs. I was in a couple about 15 minutes walk away that were pretty decent ( and there were a couple more that looked OK too). I thought it was one of the better away grounds in that respect.

I agree about the food though; who on earth pays those sorts of prices?

Last night need to be the games where we put to bed as the top 7 is gonna be really tough to get in this season. But our football at times is sublime and a joy to be part of irrelevant of where we finish. Our dna is king.

Quietest I've ever heard a home ground in 40 years. What a terrible place to watch football.
Just awful atmosphere, so much public money was spent to give WH a dull bowl for a peppercorn rent.

Def. 2 points dropped, imagine having to watch that type of football week in week out

I parked in bow and walked past 3 decent pubs on way to the ground. All a 15 min walk to the ground (well would have been if i hadnt taken a wrong turn and ended up going via old ford lock and the old big breakfast house next to what smelt like a sewage filled river lea)

As for food prices. Yes they're steep but at least there were lots of options for vegan/veggie people)

Was given offside just before so it didn’t count. Was a top save though.
I know, although I think it was given offside just after, not before. So it's not in the stats (that's a rule of the stats) but he did save it (that's just the reality of what happened).

I just woke up and read through the game commentary, 22 shots on goal and 8 on target !
Their goalie must have been MOM !
Not really, the shots weren't great.

Frustrating second half really - lack of natural wide players showed as no one could beat their man. Packed box to try and pass through or aimless crosses being played in.

Bit confused by articles and comments on multiple sites (okay, the Guardian and Football 365) complaining that it was a terrible game. Scoreline aside, I thought it was pretty entertaining.
Maybe they were West Ham fans.

agree the first part , the lack of crosses as a result actually frustrated me , especially after Ferg came on.

Guess we were continuing to create chances though

I'm not really into pubs but there are a couple of really good craft beer places in hackney wick. And fairly big as well. Weird seeing a load of cockneys crammed together drinking craft beer in a Williamsburg, Brooklyn type hipster establishment.
